Hi,
1. Datastructure is incorrect if top sellers are used on product page. Same is for new products module or specials – I don’t remember which one is second, i turned them off few weeks ago because it caused that google noticed wrong number of products on site – 30 000 instead of 1500.
2. Opengraph url is wrong on category pages.
3. Infinity scroll not working on firefox, firefox quantum and Edge.Attachments:
Hi,
1. Do you want to just show 1 product instead of 7 ? it requires to modify a bit theme code.
2. Thanks our bug report, Please modify \modules\stsocial\views\templates\hook\header.tpl file, change{$urls['base_url']}
to{$urls['current_url']}
, then clear the Smarty cache. I included it in the next update.
3. I didn’t find the issue on my side, maybe it was due to your net interruption.
Best regards.Hi,
thanks for answer.
1.Should be same as the “Related module” – this one is working fine (see screenshot). I’ve been probably hit by google panda due this “spam” (all category pages dissapeared from serp in almost same date when google registered higher amount of products). Maybe the same will happen to other users therefore i’m informing you. Currently I disabled these modules and i’m recovering few weeks from this hit.
2. Cool.
3. Tested on tablet and notebook with windows 10 and notebook with windows 7 with fresh install of firefox. Always showing only first 36 products and not all of them when scrolling down. But if none of other users experienced or will announce this problem then please ignore it.Attachments:
You can also check this whether it applies to this case.
Hi,
one more finding regarding the rich snippets and duplicates.
The biggest problem here are also the categories (Even the prestashops root category is showing the products), brand pages, etc. Each product which are marked on these pages aren’t related (or aren’t refering) to the “product page” and this is creating another duplicates.
Please correct this problem or if you can advise how to turn the rich snippets “on” only for product pages.Thank you.
I can’t find official documentation to say not marking up products, you can check https://www.apple.com/shop/mac/mac-accessories https://www.ebay.com/ they all mark up products on the category page.
So I will take you advice to add an option to use rich snippets on for the product page.
Thanks, that’s an quite interesting module. It uses an alternative way to handle the event when the user clicks on browser back button.
As you can see, the module remembers positions of every page, when a user clicks on back button, it jumps the user to corresponded position, so the event of going to next page won’t be triggered.Actually, ebay not. See category https://www.ebay.com/sch/Computers-Tablets-Networking-/58058/i.html?_nkw=macbook and its product on that page https://www.ebay.com/itm/Apple-MacBook-White-13-New-1TB-HDD-2-26-GHz-4GB-RAM-LATEST-OS-2017-Extras/253405829435?hash=item3b002a193b:g:vrAAAOSwl8NVeF~D
Category page has no microdata whether product page yes. I tested it also with datastructure tool and category is showing no item product.
Regarding the product page, datastructure tool is showing just one item and not more. No products from modules like top sellers, viewed products, related. So rich snippets should be enabled only for this one product.It is probably because in the SERP how would you show relevant results to user if he is looking for macbook and you will mix product page with its name macbook with other top seller product HP with windows 7 pro.
And yes you’re right i didn’t find any official recomendations regarding category neither, but lot of unofficial recomendations to not implement it on categories, brand pages and so.
