Hi,
At some websites, when you:
1. Scroll down the screen (for example, to view products ata cagetory pages)
2. Clic on an internal link (for example, a product)
3. Clic on “back” button of browswer
… then the browser returns to the previous page and puts himself in the last position previous to click (after scrolling)
My web with Prestashop 1.7.8.X and Pandatheme does NOT work in this way. Is it possible get it?
Regards.
What does your site do?
In the latest version of Prestashop 1.7.8.3, when a product has combinations once you enter the product page and select a combination, you hit the “Back” button, instead of go to the category or from wherever you came, it goes to the previously selected combination, that’s a built-in feature of Prestashop 1.7.8.3
You’d better send us your site url, so we can take a look.
Hi,
I attack you a screenshot so you can understand me better: https://snipboard.io/BtaOef.jpg
My example:
– You are on a category page, scroll down across the products and click on a product in the bottom of page
– Your browser loads product page. Then you press on “back button” of the browser
– Your browser loads the previus page, that is to say, the category page. Here my problem. I want this page to be loaded showing the product that you viewewd at the bottom. Lots of websites working in this way, but not mine, my website in thispoint loads the top of page.
Regards.
1. Enable the “Open product pages in new browser tabs” setting under the “Category page” tab in the theme editor.
2. The second solution would be using the default pagination. I recommend you to set to display like 50 products page per page, so there would be no pagination in most of your category pages. Don’t worry about showing 50 per page will slow your site down, it will, but just a very tiny bit.
Nice site.
Hi Jonny,
same issue here – we are using Transformer theme. I can see this behavior even when there is even one page of products.
If you scroll down and open product and then return back it always returns to the top of the page instead of original/ previous position in category page.
Is there anything we can do about it to return back to the last position in category please?

Thanks!

@gaspermarek
1. Have you enabled the “Infinite scroll”/”Load more” feature on the category page? Disable them to use the default pagination.
2. What’s the version of your theme editor module?
If you can’t figure the issue out, start a new topic to send us your site url there.
