Hello!
By now we can only create templates and customize the appearance for the CMS pages, but not for categories/subcategories. Could we somehow have a way to customize the cms categories and subcategories also in the future?
I would like to build a complete help center section for my store using the CMS cats and pages from PS, and I feel the lack of the ability to create templates for the categories too.
If it’s possible, maybe we could have almost the same options as we currently have for pages? I mean:
Create custom theme templates for specific cms categories/subcategories, so I can fully customize the appearance of the links and other elements on these sections.Thank you!
Hi,
Yes, you can see those page: https://sitebuilder.sunnytoo.com/second/en/pages/faqs-2805.html

Sorry yobo but I couldn’t find any reference on the FAQs section about custom template and its widget.
No sé si me he explicado correctamente.

Hi,
There is the “Custom page” template, can it meet your needs?
Best regards.Sorry I missunderstood the concept of ‘Custom Page’ templates, I thought you were talking about creating custom TPL to be used within the Custom Template widget XD.
The custom pages doesn’t fully meet my needs as they have a different URL format, also the .html at the end, and becacause I think the Breadcrumb won’t work very well for CMS content, specially for its categories.

Sure, the CMS page feature is already there, we will make good use of it, the template builder for the CMS category page will be added shortly.
Big thanks again Jonny, and sorry about bothering so much XD
@blackrider Do you have an example of what you are trying to achieve, is a widget to list all cms categories enough for you?
Hi @jonny
Basically, I would like to customize a cms category like we can do with pages. I mean, on pages we have the ‘Cms content’ which can be the equivalent to showing all the available pages under every category (like on PS theme by default), and the ‘Cms title’ which can be recycled to show the title of the current category.Currently, if we visit a cms category the page shown is blank without content.
But also would be great that we could use all the other available widgets for building customized views for categories. In short, allow us to customize CMS categories like we can do with CMS pages currently: list pages under every category, display category title, add other widgets as well like Image, Text, and so on.
