Hi,
you wrote in this topic

about the problem with the translation of the Official GDPR module in the Prestashop 1.7.7.0 with Theme Transformer 4.5.0 (this was a question and versions data by Viaceslav):
“There is a bug in Prestashop translation system, it requires to modify a core code”.
I have the same problem on Prestashop 1.7.7.1 with Transformer 4.5.0.
Also I read here about the same problems by other users of the Transformer theme.
I decided to check if this is really so.
To do this, I installed Prestashop 1.7.7.1 in the standard version with the classic theme on same server as by Viaceslav and tried to make a translation – it works as it should. See screenshots in the appendix.
It turns out that the problem is in the Transformer theme, not in Prestashop.
I know there are significant changes in recent versions of Prestashop.
It seems that your Prestashop Theme Transformer, version 4.5.0 and some of your modules are not fully compatible with latest Prestashop versions.
Best regards.
Hi,
Prestashop will scan all .tpl files in the /themes/theme-name/ folder to gather all translations, in my theme, the /themes/panda/moduels/psgdpr is using old 1.6 translation, and the native module also uses the 1.6 translation, but PS 1.7 force it to use new translations system, that is incorrect. Prestashop 1.7 doesn’t prepare translations for the psgdpr, that is why you can’t find it. you can try renaming the /themes/transformer/modules/psgdpr folder, then you can translations it as the classic, as the /themes/classic/modules/psgdpr doesn’t exist, that is why it can work fine.
Best regards.
Hi,
thank you, now I understand better what is happened with the translation of the GDPR module.
I followed your advise to rename the psgdpr folder and then succesfully translated the module.
However, renaming the module led to another problem – the distortion of the corresponding menu item on the left.
And one more small problems. There is a strange sign on the right side of the newsletter checkbox.
Please look at the screenshot.
Best regards.
