Hello
I was wondering if your theme is or will be Google AMP compatible?
https://www.ampproject.org/docs/fundamentals/spec
Thanks
HI Jonny,
it is find to have limited functionality on AMP pages in order to gain better Google Search rating.
I tested your theme and Google gives not good rating for mobile version of your theme.
I found 2 themes on themeforest that have AMP integration and the author claims high google rating.
I will send yo the links to these theme in the next post.
It will be very helpful to have a APM integration (optional) into your themes for users who want to use AMP pages.
Thanks,
Sergiy
We did basic work to make Transformer theme work fine on mobile, whether your site can get a high score depends on how you use transformer theme.
You can make your site to get high scores by just doing two things.
1. Hide some blocks on mobile version to have less content on mobile.
2. Optimize images.
Check this site https://www.padelsuite.com/ it has less content and less images on mobile version so it scores 80.
But I don’t think scoring 80 means much, 80 doesn’t mean that your site will get more sales, we just use those tools to let some idea of how to do improvements.
I will keep an eye on the AMP thing.
Hi, thanks for the answer.
I just saw that tere are some module for AMP versions : https://addons.prestashop.com/fr/recherche?search_query=amp
So i would say : don’t bother making the theme AMP 🙂
I think it’s more important to accept maps from other providers than Google Maps 😀
Thanks
