Hi guys!
I was just doing a Pagespeed test on my shop with Transformer and Google recommended to enable lazy load on images in the homepage. I think that your theme is not supporting this (only lazy load on product categories and product images), please correct me if I’m wrong.
I think that this can be a very interesting new feature to do, what do you think?
Best regards!
Your advanced banner module doesn’t have the lazyload feature, that’s probably the reason.

I’ve already added lazyloading feature to the advanced banner module in my version, the feature will be released in next theme update.I just found 1.7.5.1 was released, so I will soon released an update for it along with the improvement of advanced banner module.
Hi Jonny! That’s great news, I have some banners at homepage too.
But, in my case, Google Pagespeed say that I need to add Lazyload to the Instagram module images.
Maybe can be a nice update add lazyload to Instagram module, because is a module that everyone have at the bottom of the homepage.Thank you for your help!
The Instagram module get images from Instagram after the page is fully loaded. So the module won’t slow your site down.
Can you send me details of what Google Pagespeed says?
I don’t find instagram block on your site, do you have another site?
I did tests on some transformer theme demos, Google Pagespeed didn’t ask them to lazyload instagram images.I’ve added lazy loading feature to the Instagram module. So only the first 6 images will be loaded.
I don’t think it’s necessary to load images when in view, because in that case, customers have to wait for images to be loaded. Another reason is that the instagram loads images from Instagram after the page is loaded, it won’
t slow your site down even without the lazyloading feature. The improvement will be included in next theme update.

To avoid open a new ticket can I ask you if it’s safe to upgrade Prestashop to 1.7.5.1 with latest Transformer V4.3.3?
Thanks!Hi,
I have a question related to this lazy load instagram topic. I have run the PageSpeed Insight tests and for Mobile it tells me to differ the loading of these images, while in the computer results it is no need for that.
Is there anything I can do to win those seconds on the instagram loading in the Mobile View? Is lazy load working on ST-instagram module Mobile view?
Thanks

Hi,
I have deactivated the force non-square images to be square option.Still having a ver low grade on PageSpeed mobile version (18). One of the suggestions to improve is the lazy load of certain images.
Is lazy loading working on th mobile version? In the computer grade we do much better (61) and no suggestion for lazy loading.
Thanks

I’m exactly under the same case as Nuriafarra. I have ST’s module installed but it won’t lazyload Instagram images in my homepage, as Google Pagespeed is suggesting me to do (both for mobile and desktop).
I also have the “force non-square images to be square” option off.
What else can I do?
Thanks.- AuthorPosts
