Hi,
After updating Prestashop from version 1.7.6.4 to 1.7.8.2, there are problems with assigned categories in the product edition tab and with the invisible ‘Combinations’ tab – instead of it, the ‘Quantities’ tab is displayed.
After the analysis, it turns out that when the Visual Composer module is turned off, the problem doesn’t occur.
Updating Panda Theme to the latest version (v2.6.9) did not solve the problem. Not only that, although the update was performed in accordance with the instructions (http://panda2.sunnytoo.com/doc/index.php#theme_update), many configuration settings were not rewritten from the older version. Also, modules that were originally disabled have been activated after the PandaTheme update.
In modules, ThemeEditor shows the current version (v2.6.9), but in templates Panda Theme shows the old version (v2.5.2).
VisualComposer module is also up-to-date, but generates problems.
Please find attached photos showing the problem. Could you check please, what causes these errors?
Hi,
Did you upgrade the Jscomposer module also? it is recommended to use the Easy builder module instead, the Jscomposer module was deprecated.

Best regards.
Hi,
1. what do you mean Jscomposer? Did you mean VisualComposer? If so, then have you read my email carefully? I’ve wrote there “VisualComposer module is also up-to-date, but generates problems.“. Did you looked at attached images? One of them shows version of VisualComposer, and also information that is up-to-date.
Changing VC to any other alternative module will mean, that everything what has been done in it, must be redone manually from scratch in a new module – this is not an option.
VC worked properly on the newest Prestashop version (1.7.8.2) until PandaTeme update. So there’s something wrong with new theme. Please check it.
2. What about differences in versioning ThemeEditor and Panda Theme?
3. What about problem, that many configuration settings were not rewritten from the older version after Panda update (including that many modules has been enabled)?
Regards
Hi,
1. Did you buy the VC module or use the one from my theme? the latest version isn’t 4.4.14, it is 4.4.19 in my theme. if you use the VC from my theme, I will give you a new one.
2. The Theme editor version is the real theme version.
3. Could you tell me how did you update the theme? you can upgrade it on the Theme editor via the one-click upgrade button. and give me some screenshots to explain which settings were not rewritten.
Best regards.
Hi,
1. I received VC with PandaTheme. Why it shows that is up-to-date, even if i click on ‘Check for updates’? Please send me the newest one.
3. That site is for testing purposes before posting to the official domain. It’s not possible to use one-click upgrade button as you know, because i cannot register it on development domain.
Theme archive was unzipped, then catalogs ‘themes’ and ‘modules’ copied to an ftp server in root catalog with an overwrite option. After that cache cleared and site refreshed.
In the attachment I send images that shows some of many differences between sites before and after Panda upgrade.
