Hi,
I’d like to create an additionnal tab for my products.
Contents will be different for each product. Imagine for example a “Links” tab.
Is the only way to create it the “Advanced custom content”, creating a specific product tab for each product?
Could I edit this addionnal tab form Catalogue => Product => Module tab?
I’m using Prestashop 1.7. and the version 2.2.8 of the Panda Theme
Hi,
1. Yes, you can create extra tabs by the Advanced custom content module easily, just set the content show a product extra tab, then specify a product ID for the content.
2. “Could I edit this addionnal tab form Catalogue => Product => Module tab” ? could you clarify it ? maybe I am unclear your mean.
Best regards.
Hi…
Thanks for your answer.
I’ll try to explain better my point 2.
If the additional tab is static and common for all products, like a “Shipping & Returns” tab, for example, the Advanced Custom Content solution works perfectly and is very useful.
But it the additional tabs are specific for each product, it’s not so user-friendly anymore.
Imagine that products are books, for example, and each book has the next tabs:
That means 3 additional tabs.
Now, if there are 200 books in my shop, that means 600 advanced custom contents tabs, each with a specific name and content, that is not very easy to manage if you need to change some content.
How could I create “n” tabs and have these tabs available for edition in the Product settings form?
Thanks in advance
Hi,
@cucuionut Did you try to add it via the “Advanced custom content” module? can’t it show on the front office? in the latest version, you can add the tab under Product edit page > Modules > Advanced custom content tab for an individual product.
Best regards.
