Tagged: shipping cost
Hey there!
I’ve noticed a big problem with the shipping recap (see attached screenshot).
When I try to buy the same product on our test website (with Panda Theme) and our live website (with another theme installed), I see different shipping costs.
We have to take into account:
– The price of the product before tax (20% VAT in France)
– The handling cost (3.50€ before tax)
– Additional shipping cost (3€ before tax for this item, depends on the item)
So, on the live version, we have :
10.90€ (before tax) + 18.54€ (12.04€ for UPS + 6.50€ of handling and additional shipping costs, before tax) + 5.89€ of taxes = 35.33€ total (all taxes included)
But the test website, with Panda, has a completely different total of 44,68 €.
I have no idea why that is and could really use a hand. Could you take a look at this, please? Thanks in advance!
If you want to check out the front office, I can add your IP to the exceptions (maintenance is on). And if you need access to the BO and the FTP, I can give you that as well.
Hello yobo,
Thanks for your answer.
We’ve used a module called MigrationPro, to transfer our 1.6.1.24 website’s database to a brand new 1.7.6.5 installation of Prestashop. The modules are all first party, except the ones we’ve bought from Sunnytoo (“Easy filter”, “Second price” and “Advanced Google reCAPTCHA V2 & Invisible reCAPTCHA”).
Payment module is Atos 5.0.4 (by Prestashop).
Cheers.
Hi,
Thanks for the info. as you are using Prestashop 1.6 and 1.7, that are two different versions. so please try to switch the theme to Prestashop classic to check whether the issue persists or not in the dev site. maybe there is some data error or Prestashop changed the price calculation method.
Best regards.
Hey yobo,
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you.
I’ve switched back to the classic theme, to see if that’d fix the issue or not. It didn’t (see screenshot).
Would you mind taking a look at this problem? I really don’t know what’s going on.
Cheers.
Edit: Actually, scratch all that. I think the error has been fixed!
Hello yobo,
We’ve used the MigrationPro module to update Prestashop from 1.6 to 1.7. Unbeknownst to us, the module had reset a few location settings in the back office. Meaning some countries were now in the wrong zones: the shop kept showing us shipping costs for a specific carrier but was actually using prices from another one (according to the zone the countries were in). So it was nothing technical, simply messed-up settings, but it was a pain to find.
Cheers.
