Sounds like you are using Swiper in advanced model
Transformer theme has 3 different banner modules: Swiper, owl carousel and revolution.
I recommend you Swiper, set it to “Simple” model by leaving the “Height” setting be empty, see attached pics, you can upload 3 images for desktop, Laptop and phone to make sure, your slider images look fine everywhere.
Hi Leo
There is a problem in swiper slider “Height or min height(optional)” parameter. this paramter doesn’t work for min. height. it this directly cropping in all views (mobile,desktop,tablet) it not checking if slide’ container height > 400px or not. I dont want to upload more than one image because of my website’s page speed. I attached screenshot.
Regards.
Hi Leo,
you are right crop function must be, because it is so useful but not is as now.
if we you can add two more “height” option in slider group option.
height option for desktop
height option for tablet
height option for mobile
for banner there is no group option so we can add these option to banner setting so we can define for individual banner. I attached a screenshot.
Most people don’t want to add image seperately for tablet or mobile, like me. Because, prestashop works responsive therefore browser has to load all images (desktop,tablet,mobile). It causes website’s speed slow down.
revolution slider has this crop function however it is too complicated module and exhaust website (my experience).
I always prefer panda’s native modules. Hence, I always want that kind of amendments from you
Regards
You can use this custom css code to set different heights.
@media (min-width: 768px) and (max-width: 991px){#st_swiper_1{height:400px;min-height:400px;}}
@media (max-width: 767px){#st_swiper_1{height:500px;min-height:500px;}}
I will consider your suggestions to see if it’s necessary.
Upload two images for tablet or mobile won’t slow your site down. Not all 3 images will be loaded, only the image for the current device will be loaded.
