Hi, When I was using Panda theme and Stickers block I came across a problem.
In configuration of Stickers block module you can associate sticker to specified products.
This form is unconvenient when adding to multiple products because you have to add one product at a time.
There is no way to add multiple products at once.
I suggest to add support for multiple addition in at least in the form of comma separated products.
Also I find out there is no way to set sticker to show percentage value of discount if product has discount in the form of price amount.
I want also to suggest to add such an option because the seller wants to discount product by its amount of price but wants to show to customer percentage amount of discount instead of fixed discount amount.
Another problem occurs when you set up 2 or more sitckers in the same position (for ex. in top left corner).
They overlaps themself even if I set up different value in position field in configuration. Please resolve this issue because setting up Y offset on every stickers is tiring and unintuitive. Thanks for your feedback, they are valuable for us.
1. I got you. The process wouldn’t be pleasant if you need to add a stick to 50 different products. But I can’t find a better way.
Listing all products out is definitely not a solution.
Entering comma separated product ids is not okay for some people.I will consider adding an input field for people to add comma separated product ids, to have two ways available.
2. Check #36 on this page https://www.sunnytoo.com/14367/small-customizations-transformer-theme-panda-theme-make-better
I may turn that solution into an option.3. I knew that’s unintuitive, but it’s the most flexible way, it can work on all cases. How to display stickers without the X and Y? For example, 4 stickers all in the same “top left corner”, then how to display them? I can think of 3 ways.
a) Sticker1 Sticker2 Sticker3 Sticker4
b)
Sticker1
Sticker2
Sticker3
Sticker4
c)
Sticker1 Sticker2
Sticker3 Sticker4Then which way is better, then an extra option is needed for every position.
Also how to set the gaps? How to avoid them overlap with sitckers added in other positions.
What do you think?Hi, Below are my answers regarding your post:
1. If you think that separating products via comma or other delimiter isn’t very convenient you can suggest other solution. For that problem I came up with idea to make a modal window with list of all products with basic infos (name, reference, maybe thumbnail, price etc.) and checkboxes to check which one will have sticker.
2. Thanks for posting me a workaround. I managed to resolve this issue by myself but I thought about suggesting to you to make that changes as an option in configuration.
3. About showing multiple stickers in the same position: In my opinion from every solution posted by you the b) example resolves the problem. As for the gaps between stickers: It can be done just with setting margins around them of course allowing user to set up size of the margins.
Entire solution could be accomplished by allowing to place stickers to same position as long as it doesn’t overlap to next position (for ex. image is 12 stickers height, it has 3 positions in entire height so it can allow to set at most the 4 stickers in the same position, another stickers setted up to same position just won’t be displayed).1. That’s not a good idea to list all products out. The solution must be one that can work on all sites. Listing all products out is not a solution for sites with thousands of products. I will add a field for comma separated product ids if no better solution.
3. I insist that using x and y is better. It’s not supposed to put too many stickers on the image. Above the product name is a good place to put stickers.3. With X and Y offset I’m unable to insert second sticker in place of first if first get disabled.
Assume that scenario:
I set up “New” sticker as first and “Discount” sticker as second with Y offser for products. If product will stop being “new” the “Discount” sticker will still be in the same position but I wanted to place it on the position of “New” sticker.
So the stickers should push next stickers in same position to go down (left, right or whatever direction, configurable in backend).- AuthorPosts
