Hi,
as we still stick to PrestaShop 1.5.6, I have adapted our shop first to PHP 7.2 (with your kind help), later to PHP 7.3 and 7.4. With minimal changes the Transformer theme is still working well. Now I took a step further and adapted our shop to PHP 8.0.5. Though this requires a lot of changes (some in theme modules, too), everything is working fine now, except one thing: The stthemeeditor module causes some trouble because it does not find its CSS. Unfortunately, this error extends to the back office, on the order detail page. There the styles are missing, too, since we changed from PHP 7.4 to PHP 8. I guess it’s just a little issue that I overlooked, but I can’t find this bug. Therefore I would be very appreciative for a bug fix.
Regards
P.S. If a solution would require a support renewal this would be ok for me.
Hi,
Thank you for your answer. I wasn’t talking about a PrestaShop out of the box. And I am fully aware that a standard PrestaShop 1.5 is only ready for PHP 5.6, the standard 1.6 for maximum PHP 7.1. Not even the current release of PrestaShop 1.7 is fit for PHP 7.4, like for instance thirty bees.
My own instructions and modified files for Prestashop 1.5 and 1.6 under PHP 7.3 have been downloaded about 1000 times over the years. So I know pretty well what I am talking about. Trust me, you can check out that I also made your Transformer theme work under PHP 8.0. I can send you a link and the login data to my test environment. The Transformer frontend runs without errors, there is only one minor issue to solve in the backend. I really hope that you are interested in adapting your theme to PHP 8.0. Many providers in my home country Germany are already disabling all PHP versions below 7.4 on shared servers. Time is running out.
Best regards
