Hi,
I just upgraded Panda theme from 1.3.5 to 1.4.4 (on test instance), but Theme Editor still showing old version 1.3.5. I suspect that the upgrade might not be complete because I didn’t see any green notices regarding the module upgrade after refreshing the modules page. Another suspect is that after going to the Theme Editor after upgrade, I had to provide a new purchase code, which I did, but this did not bumped the version number in the module list. On generic steps I followed the “How to upgrade panda theme v1” video on You Tube.
Is this Ok?
Hi,
It seems you didn’t upgrade the theme properly. but your support license was expired, please extend it here: https://www.sunnytoo.com/product/12-months-support-st-theme, then send me your backoffice access and FTP in a private reply, I will do it for you.
Best regards.
Hi,
thank you for your quick reply. The upgrade was done in a test environment, so I don’t need to fix it. I would rather like to learn what to do differently, so I can do it myself for this or any other subsequent updates. I followed the upgrade video guide, which should work without issues. Would you give me an advice on what to do differently even without support license?
The problem was the user I was using to upgrade the theme had Czech locale and thus every module had config_cs.xml file. It seems that the upgrade process has a bug and doesn’t upgrade if you have non-English locale. After switching locale to English, upgrade executed as expected. Switching back to Czech locale after upgrade was however showing again old version of upgraded modules. Deleting all config_cs.xml files from Panda modules and reloading the modules triggered the recreation of config_cs.xml and it is now showing correct version.
Is it possible to fix this for next upgrade or is it related to Prestashop code?
