Show products as attributes of another product module for PrestaShop 1.7. This module can show similar products in the combination section as “attributes”, actually similar products are showing as links, not attributes, they just look like attributes. That’s a very nice way to show similar products to your customers.
Why you need this module?
If you have several different products for different models of the same item, then you can use this module to show them as “attributes” of each other so customers can switch between them easily.
How this module works?
- Create a attribute group.
- Add products to the group.
- Products in the same attribute group will be shown as “Attribute” of each other.
- Customizable, this module has a lot of color settings, with those color settings you can make this module fit well with your theme visually.
- Custom CSS code

How to upgrade? Use the “Upload a module” button on “BO > Modules” page to upload the new version to your site, it’s the same as how to install, don’t worry all your data will be safe, PrestaShop will just upload updated files to your site, it won’t reinstall this module.
How to get support.
If you have any questions with this “Show products as attributes of another product module” module, post them out on the prestashop module support forum, we’ll help you out.
PrestaShop 1.7 doesn’t have a hook between the combination section and the buy-button, so the module needs to edit the \themes\theme-name\templates\catalog\_partials\product-variants.tpl file to add a hook there. Transformer theme v4 and Panda theme v2 have the hook included by default.
Try clearing the Smarty cache.
Some themes use a completely different html structure to display attributes, the Template feature allows you to make the module fit well with your theme without editing any files. Here is a basic example.
*** will be replaced with attribute a group name. ### will be replaced by a product list.
